I am who I thought I was in a tangled jumble of words
That were once a tangled jumble of our legs and fingers
Once even a tangled attachment of our hearts
I swear, if you go on I’ll be happier
Because like puzzle pieces we looked perfect and rounded
We imagined sliding into one another’s smooth perfect grooves
But quickly we found jagged broken shards in between our cracks
I didn’t seem to fit, I just wasn’t right
We were meant for different puzzles with different pictures
